Broccoli is a great source of DIM, a phytonutrient found in cruciferous vegetables. It helps with proper estrogen metabolism and liver detoxification, so anyone looking in to balancing their hormones and cleansing their liver should add broccoli in their diet.

Ingredients
Broccoli stems, sliced diagonally
2 large king oyster mushrooms, sliced diagonally
3-4 cloves, minced garlic
1 1/2 tbsp tamari or soy sauce
1 tbsp oyster sauce
1 tbsp sake or cooking wine
1/2 tbsp mirin
1 tbsp of butter
Freshly ground black pepper
Chopped spring onions, parsley or coriander to garnish
Directions
Mix the seasonings in a bowl. Set aside.
Sauté garlic in olive oil.
Add in the mushrooms and butter.
Cook until the mushrooms are a bit soft.
Add the stems and sauce mixture.
Cook for around 5 minutes.
Season with pepper and garnish with the herbs.
